Day 1 Palm Sunday: Jesus Enters Jerusalem
- Scripture: Matthew 21:1–11 and Luke 19:28-40
- Key Point: Jesus is our King!
- Lesson: Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, and the people celebrated Him like a king by waving palm branches.
- Takeaway: Let’s welcome Jesus into our hearts with joy!
- Craft: Palm Branch Craft: Use green construction paper to cut out palm branches. Help your toddler color or decorate them with stickers to resemble the palm branches people used to greet Jesus. This craft ties into the joy and celebration of Palm Sunday.

Day 2 Jesus Clears the Temple
- Scripture: Matthew 21:12–17
- Key Point: God’s house is a place of prayer.
- Lesson: Jesus was upset that people were buying and selling in the temple. He wanted the temple to be a holy place.
- Takeaway: We should treat God’s house and His presence with respect.
- Craft: Heart Thumbprint Craft: Draw the outline of a house with a marker on a sheet of construction paper. Have your child dip their thumb in non-toxic paint and create heart shapes using their thumb prints. This symbolizes that Gods’ house is place of love and respect.

Day 3 Jesus Teaches in the Temple
- Scripture: Matthew 22:34–40
- Key Point: Love God and love others.
- Lesson: Jesus taught that the greatest commandments are to love God and love people.
- Takeaway: We can show we follow Jesus by loving well.
- Craft: Use construction paper or cardstock to create a large cross. Then, cut out a heart shape. Glue the heart in the center of the cross to symbolize that Jesus died for us out of love. As you work on this craft, talk about how Jesus’ death on the cross was the ultimate expression of God’s love for humanity. This simple yet meaningful craft connects the sacrifice Jesus made with the love He showed us. Children can also decorate the cross. This craft visually connects Jesus’ sacrifice with love and provides an opportunity to explain the significance of the cross and the heart in a way that’s simple and easy to understand.

Day 4 Jesus Gives Us Life
- Scripture: John 6:35
- Key Point: Jesus feeds our hearts with what we truly need.
- Lesson: Jesus told the people, “I am the Bread of Life.” Just like we need food for our bodies, or birds need food for their bodies, we need Jesus to feed our hearts with love, hope, and truth.
- Takeaway: When we spend time with Jesus—through prayer, worship, and learning His Word—our hearts are filled and satisfied.
- Craft: Make birdseed Easter eggs by mixing birdseed with coconut oil or natural peanut butter and molding it into Easter egg shapes. Add a yarn (or other material) loop to hang them on a tree.

Day 5 The Last Supper
- Scripture: Luke 22:7–20 and Matthew 26:17-30
- Key Point: Jesus gave us a special way to remember Him.
- Lesson: Jesus shared a final meal with His friends and told them to remember Him.
- Takeaway: Communion reminds us of Jesus’ love and sacrifice.
- Craft: Cup and Bread Craft: Use a paper plate to create a “plate of bread” and either a paper cup or one cut out with construction paper to represent the “cup of wine” from the Last Supper. Your child can color and decorate, with stickers, the plate and cup to remember Jesus’ sacrifice.

Day 6 Jesus Dies on the Cross
- Scripture: Luke 23:26–49 and Matthew 27:32-50 or John 19:16-17
- Key Point: Jesus died to take away our sins.
- Lesson: Jesus was punished even though He did nothing wrong—because He loves us.
- Takeaway: Jesus’ love is bigger than our mistakes.
- Craft: Crown of Thorns Craft: Use pipe cleaners to create a simple crown. You can twist them together to make a “crown of thorns,” representing the mockery Jesus endured during His trial. Discuss how Jesus wore the crown to show His sacrifice for us. Children could also make some for dolls or stuffed animals. OR Cross Craft: Use popsicle sticks to create a simple cross. Your child can decorate the cross with markers or stickers. This craft helps explain how Jesus carried and then hung on the heavy cross, a symbol of His love and sacrifice for us.

Day 7 Waiting and Hoping
- Scripture: Matthew 27:57–66
- Key Point: Even when it’s quiet, God is working.
- Lesson: Jesus’ body was placed in a tomb, and His followers were sad and waiting.
- Takeaway: Sometimes we wait, but God always keeps His promises.
- Craft: “Waiting Seed” Cup Planter: You will need a small pot or a cup, soil, and seeds of choice. Have your kiddo fill the pot with soil, plant a few seeds, water them, and then wait and watch them grow over the next few days. This will be a great reminder after today’s lesson that God is always working, even when we can’t see it right away. OR Plant Drawing: If you do not have the resources to plant seeds, have you child draw a pot on a piece of paper. Every day add one more item to the plant. For example, a stem, then a leaf, then a petal, etc.

Day 8 Easter Sunday: Jesus Is Alive!
- Scripture: Matthew 28:1–10 and John 20:19-29
- Key Point: Jesus is alive—He beat death!
- Lesson: The women went to Jesus’ tomb and found it empty. Jesus had risen! Then Jesus appeared to His disciples.
- Takeaway: Because Jesus is alive, we can have new life too!
- Craft: Paint & Peel Cross: Use painters’ tape to form a cross shape on a piece of paper. Let your child paint the paper with bright colors, then peel off the tape to reveal the cross. Talk about how Jesus appeared to His disciples, showing them that He was alive, just like the cross is revealed once the tape is removed. The joy of the resurrection is revealed, and you can discuss how Jesus’ resurrection gives us hope and new life.
