Year in the Bible Week 13 Day 4 (85): Priceless Truth

Read: Psalms 36-38

I’m honestly struggling a little with today’s takeaway, but I sat with it for a bit and prayed. In Psalm 36:7 it says, “How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!” and I noticed the exclamation point. Not a question. It’s not asking if His love is priceless or unfailing. It’s exclaiming and celebrating that it is.

“How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!” -Psalm 36:7

God’s love doesn’t fail. Even when we fail and disappoint Him. God’s love stays steady, constant, and true. You can see that all throughout Scripture, but also in your own life if you really stop and look. I know that I can. What people often call luck or coincidence; those are God moments. Little reminders that He’s in it all. After all, we’re here because of Him.

Psalm 37:4 says to delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. But what does your heart desire? Ultimately, we should desire a relationship with God above all else.

“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” -Psalm 37:4

I kept coming back to that word priceless. Everything in this world gets its value from factors like supply, demand, condition, what someone is willing to pay, etcetera. With all of those varying factors, things change over time. Money and value change and things often lose their worth. But God’s love doesn’t depreciate. You can’t put a price on it. It doesn’t fade, it doesn’t lose value, and it’s never out of reach. It will always be there for each and every one of us.

Discussion Question

  1. Do you recognize God’s hand in your life, or do you write it off as something else like luck? Think of a specific example to reflect on.

A Note from the Author

Hello everyone,
I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about the Bible verse studies, devotionals, and prayers that I put together. While I strive to offer meaningful insights and reflections, it’s important to clarify that I am not a trained or licensed biblical professional. My goal is not to provide expert theological advice but to share my personal knowledge, beliefs, and experiences as I read and reflect on the Holy Bible.

The insights I offer come from my own understanding and spiritual journey. I approach these reflections with the intention of sharing what personally resonates with me, what I’ve learned through my own study of Scripture, and what the Holy Spirit is sharing through me. I hope these thoughts are helpful and encouraging, but they are based on my personal perspective rather than formal theological training.

This specific Bible study is based off the book A Beautiful Year in the Bible The 52-Week Bible Study for Women by a series of wonderful authors Copyrighted by Alabaster Creative Inc. I do not own the rights to this book and am not claiming to. I am using the book to create my own version of the Bible in 365 days and continue to direct God’s word towards women, more specifically mothers.

Thank you for your understanding and for joining me in this journey of faith and reflection.

Blessings,

Maria Wilcoxon
